Gratitude Meditation
Let’s meditate together…
Feel free to modify any words with what aligns most on your journey. Please bring a journal, as we’ll be closing with a gratitude exercise.
Find a quiet space. A cushion and candle are recommended, though aren’t necessary.
We’ll begin in a seated position, lengthening at the spine. Next, we’ll cleanse ourselves and our space with a choice of Smoke Stick (Sage, Palo Santo, Cedar). Bring our hands to our heart in prayer and recite:
“I cleanse and purify myself to the highest of good. I welcome in positivity, love, and compassion into all that I am and all that I do.”
Let’s drop our hands to our lap and close our eyes to begin meditation, focusing our energy on our third eye (Ajna). Allow all illusions of who we are to dissolve as we become the observer. There is only now and the presence of higher consciousness.
Take a deep, slow breath in through the nose, pause, and sigh it all out through the mouth. Now let’s bring our awareness to our root (Muladhara) chakra, envisioning ourselves firmly rooted into the earth. Let’s remain here for the next 10 minutes or more, focusing on our breath in silence.
Inhale for 6. Pause for 4. Exhale for 6. Pause for 4. Repeat.
Continue with this practice remaining seated for as long as you like. When you’re finished meditating, grab your journal and write 3 things you are grateful for. Then using the prompt below, fill in what you’re calling in as if you already have it.
“I am grateful now that I have…”
We’ll bring our hands to heart in prayer, closing with Namaste, So it is, or So mote it be.
Blessings Divine beings. Thank you for meditating with me.
